There's nothing more patriotic than seeing a parade of decorated boats cruising down the intracoastal waterway! We hope the American Spirit of Patriotism and competition drives the participants to outdo themselves for a chance to win one of six prizes!

Official Rules:
There are two categories in this Parade!

The United States Constitution is the theme for the First Category. Each entry
shall decorate their vessel in such a way as to represent a single Article of the Constitution, OR Amendment of the Constitution (see US Constitution tab for suggestions).

It is recommended that you display a sign stating which article OR amendment your boat represents.  NO TOY GUNS OR REAL GUNS ALLOWED ON ANY BOAT THAT PARTICIPATES IN THIS PARADE.  Cardboard cutouts are allowed. Three prizes will be awarded!

The American Patriotic Spirit is the theme for the Second Category.  Each entry
shall decorate their vessel to display their Patriotism & Pride of the United States of America!  Three prizes from our very generous Patriot Sponsors will be awarded!

Entries are limited so register early!!
It is free to enter any of these events

Judging will be based on creativity, originality & patriotism!
Show your colors! Flags, balloons, music, costumes etc.
Be creative! Be loud! Be patriotic! Be proud!

Where to Meet

Participants will gather in the cove by Madeira Beach Elementary/Middle school (south side of Tom Stewart Causeway) at 2:00 PM to receive their designated entry numbers for each category.  Your entry number must be displayed on the starboard side of your vessel.  A boat will be staged there to distribute entry numbers and materials.

Following the lead boat, the parade will proceed south along the waterfront homes, making it's way along John's Pass boardwalk, turning and passing by Gator's for judges reviewing.  Entrants will round the bend to the right and disperse.   Boats are welcome to anchor there or join the party at the sand bar to await the judges final decision.  The entry number must remain on your boat so the prize boat can locate you and escort you to receive your award.  The two winning entrants will be announced at 5:30 PM.
